As someone who enjoys storytelling, I have always loved parables.  You may be familiar with some popular ones Jesus taught. The Lost Son. The Wise and Foolish Builders. The Good Samaritan. The list goes on. I would say that our lives are literally living parables. Each day holds a story, or many stories I suppose, and when looked at closely, each story holds some type of lesson.  We may not always see the lesson.  We may not always even care to look for the lesson, but I guarantee, it is there when we do take the time to look.

As a wife and mom of five sons, many of my daily stories include my children.  Others include stories from my own childhood experiences. So as a writer, I suppose it is no surprise that I have enjoyed taking these experiences and creating lessons from them, much like Jesus did with the parables.  Jesus teaches about the children leading us, and I certainly can see the many lessons He teaches me through my journey as a parent, as well as through my childhood.

Living Life Learning Lessons is an audio series of ten devotions written and read by Misty Cramer. This audio series was created before the publication of Misty’s book, The Every Day God. However, many of the devotions featured in the series were later included in her book. If you enjoyed her book, you will love hearing the stories read in her own voice.
